Bio:

As ADITS' Infrastructure Architect, I sit within the senior leadership team and lead our Centralised Services team.

I've spent sixteen years in IT, eleven of them here. I started hands on and worked my way up as the business grew, so there is very little inside a client environment I haven't built or fixed.

These days I set the technology strategy behind what we deliver, which platforms we standardise on, how they get configured, and what good actually looks like once it is running and carrying real load.

Most of my time goes into infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery, identity and access, and the Microsoft 365 environments that organisations across healthcare, education, not for profit and professional services run their day on.

When I write, it is usually because I have seen the same gap often enough that it is worth explaining properly.

Outside work you'll find me following the cricket or the football, or out fishing.
